New Features
## INTRODUCING MYLIB (Beta)
MyLib is our newest feature built into the DanceLib app as a core product with distinct functionalities designed to elevate your experience.
With MyLib, you can finally have one centralized space to keep all your dance videos, whether they’re from classes, workshops, shows, and others. Thanks to the private cloud storage, it’s your personal and secure video library where you to take full control of your videos.
MyLib highlights these following features:
  • Upload or record videos directly from the app
On mobile, you can upload videos into your MyLib library by importing from your smartphone’s camera roll or filming a video directly from the app before it gets automatically uploaded to your MyLib video library.
Important note: As of this current version, video quality will significantly drop when it is recorded directly from the app.
On desktop, uploading videos is only available through importing the video file from your computer.
Accepted video file formats: .mov, .mp4, .m4v ,.mpeg, .avi, .3gp, .wmv, .flv, .webm, .ogv, .mpg, .mkv
Upload and record limits: Max video duration 10 minutes or 1GB file size
  • Create custom tags to organize your videos
You can craft your own tags to help you organize your videos in a way that is relevant to you. Tags created by you, aptly named “My tags”, help personalize organization and will appear as filters for searching.
In addition to custom tags, you can use DanceLib’s pre-existing dance tags to help you tag your videos.
  • Share playlists to students, peers, and collaborators for mutual inspiration
Sharing is caring. Playlist sharing has been added as a core MyLib feature, enabling you to share your valuable dance videos and teaching materials in a playlist to students and peers, while you remain fully in charge of the content you own.
Since videos uploaded to MyLib are stored on secure and private servers, your videos will never be public, and sharing configurations are fully within your control.
As playlist owner, you can manage who can access your playlist once you start sharing. Other DanceLib users who have the link to your shared playlist will have to receive your approval to start watching videos contained in the playlist. This request-and-approval system is done via a notification system inside the DanceLib app, which is the only place from which you can manage and control this process.
In light of these new features and functionalities on DanceLib, we have updated our Terms of Use, User Guidelines, and Privacy Policy.
